- HASTE Sagittal Rest Determine resting organ positions
- HASTE Sagittal Kegel(Assess Kegel ability)
- True FISP Sagittal Evacuation(Evaluate pelvic organ prolapse, rectal evacuation)
- HASTE Sagittal Valsalva(Evaluate pelvic organ prolapse)
- HASTE Coronal Valsalva Evaluate pelvic organ prolapse
- T2 TSE Axial Rest Evaluate pelvic support structures
- T2 TSE Coronal Rest Evaluate pelvic support structures
Technical notes "MRI Protocol for Pelvic Floor"
True FISP evacuation sequence is performed before the single-shot fast spin-echo Valsalva sequence to ensure that rectal contrast material is not lost before dynamic imaging. The true FISP sequence is a continuous 60-second acquisition along the mid sagittal slice. Acquisition time per image = 1 second.
The patient is positioned on the MR table on a water-resistant pad,120 mL of ultrasound gel mixed with gadolinium is placed into the rectum.
