Syrinx/Syringomyelia MRI Protocol

Covering cerebellum and entire cord ie. up-to L3

• T1 – 3 Plane Loc (Upper,middle and Lower)
• Sagital T1 – upper,middle and lower
• Sagital T2 – upper,middle and lower (36+ FOV ea.){Sag T2 – upper, mid, lower}
• Axial T1 (through syrinx-4 mm thick and 4-6mm gap)
• Axial Fr-FSE T2 (through syrinx-4 mm thick and 4-6mm gap) 

Gadolinium enhancement is useful for detecting any associated tumor

• T1 Fat Sat Sagital (Post Gad)
• T1 Fat Sat Axial  (Post Gad)
