Pre- and post-contrast abdomen and/or pelvis MR venogram MRI Protocol

-->

Indications: iliac or IVC thrombus detection

Sequences:
·        Coronal tru-FISP (diaphragm or iliac crests to symphysis)
·        Axial tru-FISP (diaphragm or iliac vein confluence to symphysis)
·        Coronal MRA (pre-, post-Gd): diaphragm or iliac vein confluence to symphysis.  Arterial phase, 40 sec, 90 sec delayed phases.
·        Rotating subtraction 3-D maximum-intensity-projection reformats (venous phase minus arterial phase)

Comments:

Dictation template:
Pre-contrast axial and coronal tru-FISP acquired through the abdomen and/or pelvis.  Dynamic coronal MRA using Care Bolus timing of the inferior vena cava and/or iliac veins during the administration of 0.1-0.4 mmol/kg of intravenous Gadolinium contrast (up to 20 mL) in the arterial and venous phases, with 3-dimensional maximum intensity projection (MIP) subtraction reformats performed.
